Delhi Chokes For Third Straight Day As AQI Crosses 400, Air Quality Remains ‘Severe’

New Delhi, November 13, 2025 — The national capital continued to grapple with toxic air for the third consecutive day as the Air Quality Index (AQI) remained above 400 in several parts of the city, placing it in the ‘severe’ category. Dense smog blanketed Delhi since early morning, reducing visibility and worsening respiratory discomfort among residents.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), areas like Anand Vihar, Rohini, and Punjabi Bagh recorded AQI levels above 450. Experts attribute the hazardous air to stagnant winds, vehicular emissions, and stubble burning in neighbouring states. Authorities have urged citizens to limit outdoor activity, while schools continue to follow hybrid modes amid the ongoing pollution emergency.
