New Delhi, December 1, 2025 — Amid the ongoing debate over Charles Darwin’s Theory of Evolution, the government has clarified that the topic continues to remain an integral part of the school science curriculum. Officials stated that there has been no decision to remove the theory from textbooks, putting to rest concerns raised by students, teachers, and scientists.
The government further emphasized that scientific education will continue to be guided by globally accepted principles and academic research. Education experts welcomed the clarification, saying it reassures students and protects the integrity of science learning in India, especially at a time when misinformation can easily spread.
