The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has cancelled the registration of the Board School Games Welfare Society for the unauthorised use of its name. According to official sources, the society was found to be using the CBSE name without obtaining proper approval, which led to concerns about misleading schools, students, and parents.
CBSE has clarified that the society is not affiliated with the Board in any official capacity and has advised schools to remain cautious while associating with private organisations using the CBSE name. The Board further stated that strict action will be taken against any entity found misusing its name or logo in future, in order to protect the interests of students and maintain transparency.
