Islamabad, December 13: Sanskrit, the ancient Indian language, has made its return to Pakistan for the first time since the 1947 Partition, as educational and cultural initiatives promote its study in select Pakistani institutions. Officials said the move is aimed at reviving interest in classical languages and fostering cross-border cultural exchange between India and Pakistan.
Education authorities highlighted that Sanskrit classes and workshops will be conducted under collaboration with scholars and cultural organisations. Students and academics expressed enthusiasm over the initiative, describing it as a historic step towards preserving shared heritage and strengthening academic ties between the two countries.
