Srikakulam | December 9, 2025:
In a major medical and technological breakthrough, a newly developed Artificial Intelligence (AI) model has reportedly achieved up to 99% accuracy in predicting chronic kidney disease in the Uddanam region of Andhra Pradesh. Uddanam has long been known as a kidney disease hotspot, with thousands of unexplained cases reported over the last two decades.
Health experts say this AI tool can detect early-stage symptoms using patient data such as blood tests, age, lifestyle, and medical history. Early detection will help doctors start timely treatment, thereby preventing kidney failure deaths. The state health department plans to introduce this AI system in government hospitals of the region on a pilot basis before expanding it across the state.
