Mumbai, January 3:
Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi has announced that he will no longer pursue remakes in his film career following the commercial underperformance of Dhadak 2. Speaking about his future choices, Siddhant revealed that the box office failure of the sequel taught him the importance of originality and connecting with audiences through fresh, engaging content rather than relying on pre-existing formulas. The actor emphasised that while remakes can sometimes work, they carry a high risk of comparison with the original, and he intends to focus on scripts that offer him creative challenges and allow him to explore diverse characters.
Industry insiders noted that Siddhant’s decision reflects a broader trend among young actors in Bollywood, who are increasingly prioritising quality storytelling and unique narratives over starry remakes. Siddhant expressed confidence that taking such a path would not only enhance his artistic growth but also resonate better with viewers seeking fresh cinematic experiences. His remarks have sparked discussions among fans and trade analysts, who believe that avoiding remakes could help him carve a distinct identity in the competitive film industry, while also encouraging filmmakers to invest in original content with strong narratives and innovative storytelling techniques.
