BJP MP Basavara Criticizes Opposition For Degrading Indian Institutions And Democracy

New Delhi, December 23:
BJP Member of Parliament Basavara on Tuesday accused opposition parties of cultivating a habit of degrading Indian institutions and undermining democracy. Speaking to reporters, he said that continuous criticism without constructive engagement is detrimental to the country’s democratic fabric.

Basavara emphasized that such actions not only weaken public confidence in constitutional bodies but also hamper the government’s efforts to implement policies and drive development initiatives effectively. He asserted that respectful dialogue and cooperation are essential for maintaining the integrity of democratic processes.

Political analysts noted that Basavara’s remarks come amid heightened rhetoric between ruling and opposition parties, reflecting intensifying debates in Parliament and public discourse. The BJP MP stressed that safeguarding the credibility of institutions should be a shared responsibility of all political stakeholders.

Sources said Basavara urged the opposition to focus on policy discussions and constructive criticism rather than attempting to politicize issues or attack institutions for short-term political gains. He added that the ruling party remains committed to upholding democratic norms while delivering governance reforms.
