Quetta, January 20:
A railway track linking Quetta with other parts of Pakistan was blown up on Monday after unidentified men planted explosive material at a remote location, officials said. The blast damaged a section of the track, disrupting rail services on the route and prompting security agencies to rush to the site to assess the extent of the damage.
Authorities said no casualties were reported in the incident, and an investigation has been launched to identify those responsible. Security has been tightened in the area, while railway officials are working to repair the damaged track and restore services at the earliest. The incident comes amid ongoing security challenges in parts of Balochistan, where attacks on infrastructure have raised concerns for authorities.
