A political stir unfolded in the Tamil Nadu Assembly on Monday as all PMK (Pattali Makkal Katchi) legislators staged a walkout during proceedings, protesting against issues raised by the party. The move was led by MLA Venkatesh, who drew attention to the party’s concerns regarding administrative decisions and governance matters.
The walkout caused a brief disruption in the Assembly’s schedule, prompting reactions from ruling and opposition members. Party leaders stated that the protest aimed to press for urgent attention to regional and constituency-related issues, while Assembly officials emphasised that such actions, though part of parliamentary practice, temporarily delayed discussions on key legislative business for the day.
