Chennai, January 19 : Music composer AR Rahman on Sunday released a new song titled ‘Mayile’ from the upcoming Prabhu Deva–directed film Moonwalk, even as he continues to face criticism over his recent “communal” remark that triggered a political and social row. The track, unveiled on digital platforms, has already begun drawing attention for its melody and Rahman’s signature musical style.

Sources close to the project said the release was part of the film’s scheduled promotional plan and was not delayed despite the ongoing controversy. Moonwalk, directed by Prabhu Deva, marks another collaboration between the celebrated filmmaker and the Oscar-winning composer.
