Hyderabad, January 9:
BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Thursday launched a sharp attack on the Congress government, alleging an “illegal grab” of land belonging to the Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in Hyderabad. He said the issue has triggered serious concern among students and faculty, accusing the government of undermining educational institutions and misusing public assets for political or commercial interests.
Addressing the matter publicly, KTR assured full support to MANUU students and stakeholders, stating that the BRS would stand with them in protecting the university’s land and autonomy. He demanded that the Congress government immediately clarify its stand, halt any alleged encroachments, and ensure transparency in land-related decisions. Warning of protests if corrective steps are not taken, KTR said safeguarding educational institutions and students’ rights remains a top priority for his party.
