AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) on Wednesday asserted that an AIADMK-led alliance will form the next government in Tamil Nadu, firmly ruling out any role for former chief minister O Panneerselvam. Addressing party workers, EPS said the party has moved on and made its position clear, adding that there is “no place” for Panneerselvam in the current AIADMK structure or future political plans.
Palaniswami accused Panneerselvam of repeatedly creating confusion within the party and weakening its organisational strength. He called on cadres to remain united and focus on strengthening the AIADMK at the grassroots level ahead of upcoming elections. The remarks underline the continuing rift within the party leadership and signal EPS’s intent to project a clear and decisive leadership going forward.
