ICC Appoints 17 Umpires, Four Match Referees for Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026

Dubai, January 8:
The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday announced the appointment of 17 umpires and four match referees for the ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026. The selected officials represent a diverse group of experienced and emerging match officials from different cricketing nations, entrusted with ensuring fair play and smooth conduct throughout the prestigious youth tournament.

According to the ICC, the panel has been chosen based on performance, consistency, and experience in international and domestic tournaments. The match referees will oversee disciplinary matters and match regulations, while the umpires will be responsible for on-field decision-making across venues. The ICC stated that the appointments reflect its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of officiating as young cricketers from across the globe compete for the U19 world title.
