Union Minister Piyush Goyal arrived in Chennai on Tuesday in his capacity as the BJP’s election in-charge for Tamil Nadu, officials confirmed. Upon arrival, Goyal convened a core committee meeting with senior party leaders to discuss election strategies, candidate selection, and outreach plans across the state.
During the meeting, Goyal emphasized the importance of grassroots engagement, organizational strengthening, and effective communication of the party’s achievements to the electorate. Leaders deliberated on constituency-level preparations, voter outreach programs, and campaign logistics to ensure a coordinated approach ahead of the elections.
Party sources said the discussions also included reviewing past election performances, identifying key focus areas, and strategizing for urban and rural voter engagement. Goyal reportedly called for intensive coordination between central and state-level leaders to maximize efficiency and impact.
Political analysts noted that Goyal’s visit signals the BJP’s focused effort to consolidate support in Tamil Nadu and implement a comprehensive campaign plan well ahead of the polls.
