Former India batsman Ambati Rayudu praised MS Dhoni’s unique captaincy style, saying, “MSD-type captain don’t think much on the field; he leads with instinct and calmness, which makes him so special.” Rayudu highlighted Dhoni’s ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure, attributing the success and consistency of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL to his leadership qualities.
Rayudu, who has played alongside Dhoni for both India and CSK, emphasised that the legendary skipper’s approach inspires players to stay composed, trust their skills, and execute plans without overthinking. Analysts note that Dhoni’s calm demeanor and strategic acumen have not only led CSK to multiple IPL titles but also set a benchmark for leadership in T20 cricket globally.
