Kolkata (West Bengal), December 13: BJP leader Sukanta Majumdar on Friday criticised Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her recent remarks concerning voter list deletions in West Bengal. He alleged that her comments were misleading and politically motivated, raising concerns about transparency in the electoral process ahead of upcoming elections.
Majumdar urged the Election Commission to take note of the issue and ensure that all voter deletions were carried out according to the law. Political analysts said the exchange underscores growing tensions between the ruling Trinamool Congress and the opposition, with both sides seeking to influence public perception on electoral matters.
