Raipur (Chhattisgarh), December 13: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday welcomed Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his visit to the state, highlighting the Bastar Olympics as a “symbol of unity and sportsmanship.” The event, held in the tribal-dominated Bastar region, showcases local talent and aims to promote cultural heritage alongside sports development.
Speaking at the event, Baghel praised the participation of athletes from across the state and emphasised the government’s commitment to supporting sports infrastructure and talent nurturing. Officials said the visit also included discussions on development projects and collaborative initiatives to strengthen local communities and promote regional sports excellence.
