Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir and T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav on Monday visited the Jagannath Temple in Puri to seek blessings ahead of the first T20 International match. The visit comes just ahead of the high-voltage series opener, as the Indian team prepares to face South Africa in Cuttack. Visuals of their temple visit surfaced online, with fans extending their best wishes to the team.
Sources close to the team said that the visit was part of the players’ personal faith and preparation routine before an important international assignment. The Indian side is aiming for a strong start to the T20I series, with team management focused on testing new combinations while maintaining a competitive edge against the visiting South African side.
