Naidu and Jagan Clash Over Temple Stampede: Blame and Negligence at Centre of Andhra Row

Tirupati, november 1st, 2025 – The fatal crowd crush at the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh has sparked heated political exchanges, with former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu accusing the temple authorities and event organisers of poor coordination and failing to anticipate the large swell of devotees, resulting in the tragedy.
Meanwhile, opposition leader Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy slammed the Naidu-led government and temple administration for “blatant negligence”, stating that police resources were diverted to Naidu’s tour and vital crowd-management measures were ignored.
