
Kevadia (Gujarat), October 30, 2025 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi has begun a two-day visit to Gujarat to lead the celebrations marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The Prime Minister is set to participate in the grand “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” event at the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Narmada district, where he will pay floral tributes to Sardar Patel and address a large public gathering. The event is expected to witness a massive turnout, symbolizing national unity and the enduring legacy of India’s first Deputy Prime Minister.
During his visit, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for several development projects worth over ₹1,000 crore in Gujarat. These include initiatives aimed at enhancing connectivity, infrastructure, and tourism in the region surrounding the Statue of Unity. The two-day programme will also feature a unity parade, cultural performances, and a nationwide pledge reaffirming India’s commitment to the ideals of Sardar Patel.
